Hey Fred , Should I start w 220 grit diamond or go lower 120 ? the other areas kitchen and other rooms had no carpet!!

looks like the backing bleed into the terrazzo. I would first try grinding it open to see if the discoloration is only surface. If its deeper you may need something like Klenzstone to bring it back
