A non destructive meter will work on stone and concrete but keep in mind these meters do not give you a true percentage. They are just relative readings. In other words it will only tell you if the stone is dry, a little wet or really wet

Sounds like it’s good insurance for stone.
I’ve done moisture vapor tests on concrete.
Fred and Stu will the meter work the same way on concrete? Anything above 5% always worries me. Also it helps me determine if vapor barriers were used and if I should dye or not.

No Worries Jason-I will send you one right now so you have it for this job-if you like it by all means buy it! But there is no obligation to do so. Were happy to help!
I go everywhere with my meter-its non intrusive and quite sensitive. Saved me much grief and explained many issues!

Yes I’d like to buy one. I should have had one by now. Let me know how to proceed with that. I can call you or your office.

Put a squirrel cage blower (carpet blower) on it for ana couple of days. Hopefully will dry out quicker and avoid oxidation too.

Hi gentlemen,

Arrived this am and see several moisture stains on  a white marble floor we ground flat that had major lippage last week. It’s where the grout had cracks. I have since learned that the subfloor is plywood, which I’m sure big factor here as it has held the moisture longer than usual. I’m not certain the stone will dry out at this point. Any suggestions?

Many thanks.

Jason
