As a side note, I have tried every compound available and mechanical diamond polish is the only thing I find to achieve desired results

Hey Pros

I have decided to rip out our carpet at home and polish our concrete . Have already checked and found a good quantity of aggregate reasonably shallow .
I have done a lot of honed concrete in the past but never polished and had a few questions about the process
1 . Is there any real difference in the Densifiers, I have ready access to lithium and sodium silicates but struggling to find real info on the differences
2. When densifying at what stage is best , I understand this Varys depending on hardness but I would imagine this stuff is very hard as the house is from the mid 80’s
3. How long to wait after applying Densifier before continuing grinding/honing/polishing
4.At what stage do you grout the floor to fill pores (also any tips on this will be appreciated)
5. Would 5X powder work on concrete or is mechanical shine the best

Sorry guys I know that’s a handful but struggling to get much info online and we didn’t really touch on it too much with John when we went to Florida

TIA!
