When we have done bio hazard clean up we fog to protect our workers, wipe to remove soil and fog again. The electrostatic we use when we need to target objects like touch pads on equipment. I am always concerned with a 40 micron droplet size that there will not be adequate dwell time for thorough disinfection before the particle dries. What are your thoughts on this?

That’s a good point. We clean medical facilities & commercial offices; so we wipe down surfaces first, so the efficacy of the disinfectant we administer via the electrostatic sprayer is not compromised by soiled surfaces.

We have done some disaster relief and after using a disinfectant in a fogger or electrostatic sprayer, it is industry standard to follow with wet wiping by hand all major touch point areas.  Disinfectant doesn't disinfect soil, so using rags soaked in a one minute kill rate solution after everything is fogged or sprayed assures that soil is removed as well on these frequent touch point areas.

Just something to be aware of.

I’ve been using a system from Isoklean. It consists of a highly concentrated disinfectant with an Electrostatic Sprayer. With this system, I can completely disinfect 6,000 square feet per hour. I’m currently making $300/hour with this system. Website: Isoklean.com

Mike Barber is the president of the company. His email address: mbarber@isoklean.com

Stay healthy and be careful everyone. Even though everyone still needs to pay bills it is not worth risking your life or others.

I figured I would touch base and let everybody know how we are handling it over here in Phila. We are screening our residential customers to make sure everyone in their house is healthy before proceeding with their work.

Our night crew are the lucky ones. Most of the building in Phila are limiting access so we are allowed to go in for monthly maintenance.

Our employees are directed to take their temperature before coming to work and we will give our employees paid time off if they get sick and under a doctors care.

Hope everything works out for the rest of you.
