This is a common problem with many white marbles and is caused by oxidation of iron within the stone. The oxidation process needs moisture and I would suspect that this stone has gotten wet or is still wet. Before you can remove the rust you need to investigate to make sure the moisture source is eliminated. Once the moisture is gone you can attempt a poultice with Iron Out to remove it.
