Based
on the pictures, it looks like these are porcelain tiles. They are also
very textured. What happens in many cases is they are left from installation
with a small amount of grout haze. That grout haze then attracts dirt/stains
and make the tile look discolored and dirty. If you follow John’s
recommendation of alkaline and then acid cleaning it would remedy this.
If that does not work, you may need to take it a step further. Again,
John made a great recommendation of a slight abrasive cleaner. Miracle
Sealants makes one called Porcelain & Ceramic Tile Cleaner that works
great. Pour some on floor and use a hog’s hair pad, rinse and
extract. If the stone is porcelain, it’s not likely anything has
worn off it. Good luck.
