It looks like it may be just wet and etched, hard to tell from the pic.  if you wet the area does it all get dark, than it is mositure.   to remove the moisture sprinkle some dry poultice powder on it and let it sit overnight. Repolish and your good to go

MB-11 isn't as strong as MB-12.  MB-12 is the commercial strength.  Plus, it is a polishing powder.  I don't think it will get this stain out.  But you might try a poultice with the iron out.  It looks like a rust stain.  If not, you might have to hone, blend and polish.
