wax can be tricky to remove but if you have a stain it is most likely not wax but the dyes used in the wax. If it is an organic dye peroxide should take it out..If the dye is inorganic you will need a solvent. Try styrene or benzene
As a last resort, Styrene is a wax solvent. I would test on scrap first. I've never tried it with a poultice but I can tell you it does dissolve wax.
