Hi,
I have two situations, both of which involve repairing or stripping and recoating marble with polymeric sealer. In the first case, I believe what happened is that the polymer separated from the liquid in the container. In any case, when I put it down it clumped and now the floor has relatively thick patches of polymer with swirl marks (from the burnisher). It would not burnish out, so I would need to remove it and reapply. Of course, I would prefer not to polish again but am not sure what any kind of stripping will do to the floor.
In the second case some painters broke a water valve at a job I did last summer and let water seep under a mat on top of the sealed floor. Over time the sealer broke down and was also scratched by furniture movers. Same thing as above - I need to get the floor back up and running with new sealer in the easiest way possible. I have been using the sealer for quite a while and have never run into having to repair or remove the sealer, so this is a first for me. Has anyone ever dealt with this issue? I have included two pictures of the last job i mentioned. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Baird
