hey guys.

I have written numerous articles on this subject and others. We will soon be editing them and putting them up on the site. In the mean time you can serach the archives on stone world, surface fabrication and my blog site.

If this would pertain to documents , but I would like the following.

1. Recommended Stone Care Products to leave with home owners.
2. A satisfaction survey sheet to leave with a customer. On that sheet to list the name of the referral source, thus we can share it with the referral source.

On a similar note...I think there are a couple of documents perhaps we can all create together as a group for our customers.  Being that we have so many talented and seasoned pros in here, perhaps you all can help with the suggestions.  I really like the idea of being able to have a hand out to give to a customer pertaining to their particular issue.  Nothing huge or overwhelming but a little something besides just an estimate sheet from us.

Do you think this idea is over the top?

We would like to have on hand for all of the Partners documents to be able to access, personalize and give to customers. I took a lot of info off of that particular document because it became too technical. I agree it should include the other parts as you suggested.

We could save each document in .doc and .rtf formats, too. Good suggestion.

There is hundreds of research based documents already written on the subject. Why create another document …….. Partners need to be encouraged to do research on their own and ask questions.

A handout would be nice to help customers better understand efflorescence. However, a definition of the problem would be insufficient.  The handout needs to cover 4 areas:  1) What is Efflorescence 2) What conditions must exist before Efflorescence can occur 3) Source of Efflorescence salts 4) What can the home owner do to minimize or stop the Efflorescence. The document should be in a format such as .doc, .rtf or other format that each partner could easily insert their own logo and contact information and print. The MIA “Masonnary Institute of America” published an article a while back titled “Efflorescence: Cause and Control” I thought was very informative http://www.masonryinstitute.org/download.php?f=612.pdf .

Hi All

One document on efflorescence attached.

Here is where you guys can help. We have a ton of documents that we are editing / preparing for the Partner Center. As you make requests, we'll focus on those first. Also, give us feedback what should be on the documents.. If they are for you guys, of course it should not only include a definition of a problem, for example, it should include tips and remedies. If it's for your customers, an explanation / definition should be sufficient. We were thinking the ones for customers should have a place where it can be personalized with your own Company Info (i.e. "presented by Marble Maestro... logo, website, phone...)

Everyone's input is greatly appreciated.

Good question, I would also use it!
Tired of trying to tell people it will come back like cancer unless they remove the source and stop trying to seal it

Hi group

Does anybody have a good document I can use as a hand out explaining efflorescence to my customers?  I figure it would be helpful to ask you before I try to create one myself.

:)
Thanks all!
