It depends if there are just a few I like to put blue tape around the holes covering the surrounding area and if you do it careful you really won't make a mess.For getting it off the surface use a little Acetone and if it dries a razor blade will help.Directions are on the can also the guys at hard rock or wherever you go are usually pretty knowledgeable about the products they sell (usually).

I installed granite countertops in my kitchen last year and have noticed that there are a number of pits throughout the surface on the slabs.  Is there anything I can use to fill them in?  The slabs are 'baltic brown' and probably were seconds as I got a great price on them.  Thanks, Dean
