Pressure clean it before? It would be nice if you could, that also adds to the cost although. If they don’t want the extra cost, just do the floating with traverfill. The floor will clean up nice when you come back the next day and sand it with 400 resins and some Murphy’s oil soap in the water. I use an auto scrubber to follow this process. It’s also scrubbing with a red pad an rinsing. Remember to bring some traverfill for the final filling of holes. You always have a couple that need refilled after all the machine work is completed, but its minimal.

As far as pricing I estimate how many days it will take an bid $1000.00 a day. This is good money for me. All my equipment is paid for so that helps.

Hope this helps

Randy,

Thanks for the info! Would you recommend 1st having the floor cleaned with  a pressurized hot water extraction system? The floors and grout lines I'm look @ are dirty from commercial foot traffic. Plus if you will share, how did you bill out on this job?

Thanks,

RK

Roger

Here are two pictures, First is floating the floor with traverfill. The second is after floating with traverfill and before covering with brown paper.

All,

I would appreciate input on how to handle this possible job. About 4000 sq. ft. of limestone. They want the floor cleaned and the holes filled. There is countless number of holes, so I don’t think filling them individually is an option.

Thanks,

Roger
