Baird,
Here is how I have handled diamond for years
1.
The first thing is only give your technician the diamonds they
need to carry for normal jobs, this means 50 , 120, 220 ,400 , 800
2.
Hand diamonds they should only need 50,120,220,400, 800,and
possibly 1800.
3.
Do not carry lippage diamond and the other diamond you don’t
usually use. Give your technician these diamonds only when they use them.
4.
After you use your diamonds for the day simply rinse them off in
neutral cleaner.
5.
Then you can use a thin wire to hold that diamond grit together.
6.
Then place the diamonds in a tool box or in a plastic container
( prefer an open on so the diamond can dry)
7.
Then place on a self in you truck.
Most of the time what I have found over the years most
contractors do not build out their truck to adequately stock hold the equipment
and supplies one needs for daily operations.
I have used the same build out on my vans for the past 15 years
and found the layout works well, for both equipment and supplies needed to
perform most if not all of my jobs. The build out I use requires little or
not need to climb into the truck. In most cases the items you use the most
you can reach from outside the truck.
If anyone is interested in seeing this layout let me know and I will
send pictures.

Subject: [sccpartners] Diamond organization
Hi,
Was wondering what other folks do to organize their diamond
supply. My diamonds are frequently in disarray and the plastic bags
and/or other containers I try get caked with powder or disintegrate and do not
allow for adequate drying. Wondering if there are better solutions.
Thanks,
Baird
