Trying to strip terrazzo without using a stripper is going to give you problems. The problem with trying to remove wax without using stripper does not totally remove the waxes from within the terrazzo. Stripper allow the chemical to dissolve the waxes that are in the pores of the terrazzo, if this is a cement based terrazzo you will remove the wax from the marble chips but not from the pores within the cement base that hold the terrazzo together. If there are several coats of wax on the terrazzo it will take some time to grind off the coating.

 

If all the waxes or coating are not removed from the terrazzo if you are going to put a natural finish on the terrazzo the waxes that are not totally removed from the terrazzo will not polish like the areas that are totally stripped.

Unless the polish can react to the terrazzo the stone just won’t polish good.

Is there a reason you do not want to use  stripper to remove the finish??    

 

 

I was wondering if anyone has used a pad like the twister pad that can be used for stripping wax off of terrazzo.  I do not want to use stripper if possible.  Also could someone recommend another company similar to twister pads this way I can price compare pads.  I might as well ask, does anyone have a good sourse for these type of pads a great prices that will get a lot of square foot done?
