I agree with Randy.

As for the crack though what I like to do is open the crack a little wider right down the crack using a dremmel with a small small blade I get mine from Maurizio www.mbstone.com.

Then just fill and sandpaper or diamond hone and proceed to polish.

Also as for polishing Travertine I have used many many powders over the years and nothing has worked as well and as fast as MB-12 I love being able to polish with no slurry and see my results instantly instead of having to vac a slurry then mop then dry then buff to see my final polish, with the mb-12 you use very little water and finish dry so you can see your final polish as you go.

Ok sorry I did not mean for this to turn into a plug for MB but when something I am using is giving me the results I am after I love to pass the info along.

Good Luck

Hi Don:

How to fix the crack?

I use a dremel with a grout removal bit,  notch a tiny V-Cut right in the line of the crack. And fill with your chosen filler. This has worked great for me.

How much to charge?

Example: I charge for my time on these, my minimum  I like to make $100.00 per hr . Also I will base it on the fact I  am there doing the floor restoration. Just say  25ft may take  2 man  hrs. I would charge $200.00.

Hope this help

I am bidding on a travertine cleaning, polish, repair and  have approximatly 25 ft of crack in a light travertine, some of which is very tight and over the years has collected dirt to aplify it exsistance. A lot of the crack has seperated enough to make a repair easy. Any suggestions on repairing /opening the tight areas to allow filler in? How much are you getting for this type of repair?
