Roger,

The picture framing and the crystallization has no relationship, the picture framing is from the minimum lippage hat maybe in the floor. Just hone it as you would any other floor that has picture framing from wear and tear.

If you have any problems removing the picture framing during you honing process, you may need to use honing powders to cut out the picture framing. I just looked at the picture again and don’t see the picture framing, ddid you send more than the one picture.

I asked the customert the name of the company that restored itr him last year which was Sungloss. Then asked if they used a spray bottle with pink fluid and he said yes. I'm not concern about the open areas, it is just the ares where I will get picture framing!

Roger,

Did customer tell you that it was crystallized or there are signs somewhere that tells it was. Just curious.

If there are no big scratches I would start with 220 for 4 minutes and then go to 120 if necessary.

If a floor is crystallized, must it be leveled 1st to be restored.  I’m looking at a job that was crystallized last time it was restored. See the attached picture. My thoughts are that the tiles are oversized. Looking at the floor the tiles are pretty worn and really do not show signs of being crystallized. My thoughts are to start with 120 under white pad, if needed to go lower. Would appreciate any advice.

Thanks,
