We have used StoneLok 2K on marble countertops before with great success as a coating to protect from etching. It is very tricky to do, you definitely want to practice with it first to get it down, but if you do it right, it comes out good and is very durable. You have to make sure you use the Amino Silane Substrate conditioner first, along with a base coat of a good solvenated acrylic.
