There is no such thing as flamed limestone and flaming procedure
is done on granite with water and flame “torch” to pop the crystals,
therefore you can’t flame limestone. The limestone you referring to is either
blasted or may be hammer bushed. Now if the tiles are very thick then you can
grind them until you get flat smooth finish, but if they are ½” or
so ? you know where I’m going.

Thank You for your responses and
it is 12x 24 tiles on the floor.The material is flamed limestone.For those of
you not familiar with the "flamed" procedure it is basically sand
blasted to a bumpy finish.Since it is a pretty soft material,I thought I could grind
it down but I was concerned with making sure I could end up with a Perfectly
flat floor.
If anyone is familiar with this
process I would appreciate your help.
