I used to work a lot with this type of stone in South Florida. The biggest problem you are going to run into is that it will tear your diamonds up real quick. I have found you need to use metal bond diamonds all the way to 400 or 800 and than polish with standard polishing powders.  Also make sure they are in fact coral..South Florida has a lot of Cuban tile which can look the same.  Pics would help.
