You can use the same process on lippage removal on onyx as you
would any other marble, I would use a 50 grit metal lippage diamonds from
Stonecare Central. Cut the floor flat with the 50 metals then remove your 50
grit metal scratches with 100 grit metal diamond then go back to 50 grit resins
and hone up to the level you want then polish.
Remember the first grind is you work horse grind, remove all the
lippage completely before going to the 100 metals.

Subject: [sccpartners] Onyx
Just looked at an onyx floor 12x12 tiles with lippage and
sanded grout. I can replace the sanded grout ok but never have delipped onyx
approx 1/8 lippage and of course some tiles are lower instead of lippage.
Customer is willing to pay the price but I'm not sure how it will react to my
metal diamonds. Kitchen area 100 sqft. Have removed scratches & polished
onyx countertops but not a floor. Thanks Phil
