Yes I have experience with it. It is the same as Diamond Seal or Tekon or Hydroshield. Its a silane or siloxane based glass sealer and it works real well as a topcoat on Granite because of the silica content. I have met the guy who started Granite Shield, I believe his name is Craig and my Dad has done work with him in California. I believe they recommend using a impregnating sealer first, then top coat it with the glass sealer, which they have probably named Alpha or Beta or something else. It's a liquid, that when applied to granite or glass will turn greasy. When it is buffed away, it leaves the surface hydrophobic. At first it seems to work really well but does not hold up to the claims. Your better off treating the Granite in the way you know best and using a glass sealer to give you the same hydrophobic outcome.
Has anyone had any experience with some sealing system called "Granite Shield"? thank you
