Many are contacting me now as a result of the Facebook discussion on the SCC Partners group that I thought it was time to address all of you with some answers.

As most of you understand, one of our biggest priorities for each of our Partners is to make sure all of you do very well on the web. We make sure are positioned well on all the search engines, list you on the maps, add you to important sites and directories and do essential 'on-page' search engine optimization for your sites. We also work hard to stay on top of the constantly changing search engine marketing so you don't have to. Other than myself, we have one full-time seo expert (plus my daughter works part-time and helps with a special kind of listing program for Premium Partners).

It is true that one very important aspect of search engine optimization is getting linked from quality sites. Social networking pages like Facebook, Twitter, etc. are one way to build links. There are many other ways as well. We list you and link you in many pertinent sites and directories. With everything we do, most of you don't need anything more to have strong presence on the first page of all the search engines. For those of you in very competitive areas or who feel you need an even stronger presence, we do offer the Premium level service for Partners. This not only gets you many more links and gets you listed in hundreds of additional directories, it gives you telephone support from the Stone and Tile School at no additional cost.

It is our goal here at Stone and Tile PROS to do most of your Internet marketing for you and urge you to focus on building your sphere of networking and direct selling. I would venture to say that an hour spent each week developing your network will do more for your business development than a Face Book page. Fred is known by thousands of people because he is on the radio, has written books, and is published in trade journals, and because of this he has more than 2000 followers / friends, yet not one check has ever been generated as a result. This is not to say Facebook is not good. On the contrary, it is yet another link to you. Quality link building is an important part of internet marketing. (Remember, our mantra is... "Don't just be on the web... be all over the web!").
