I have an issue that has come up recently involving a newly installed a light tan colored granite counter top and an under mount sink. It appears that when they installed the sink, they used some sort of clear silicone that they claim to use all the time and it turned the granite dark and began to come up through, to the surface of the granite.

Now, around the sink, about 2 inches out is stained really dark. I have tried to use a product from Prosoco called Dicone NC9, which is a silicone digestant, but with no success.

Does anyone know of anything else I could try?

Thanks
