Stuart,

Treat the onyx like you would marble. Determine what grit you need to use to remove the damage usually not any lower than a 120 or 220 hone up to 800 then polish with 5X seal and your done

Subject: [sccpartners] onyx countertops

To everyone,

I just looked at some onyx countertops which have become dull.  They were originally polished, but across time and use they have lost their sheen.  I have no experience with onyx.  Does it polish like marble? Is it hard like granite? I haven't the slightest idea.  Any experience out there polishing this stone?
