Hi Stuart,
I used 5x. I used 220 to 800. I wasn't happy with the lighter color so I went up to 1500 thinking that would help. It did slightly but not much. Im not sure going up a step would have made that much difference but you could be right.

Jason,
What did you use for your final polish-5x,mb12 etc? What was your honing sequence(what grits did you use)?It sounds like the floor needs to reach a higher level of polish to match the factory finish of the walls.Does that sound possible.

Hi fellas,
I ran into a situation I have not come across before and am looking for some feedback. I honed and polished a dark brown polished limestone floor yesterday. The end result was about three shades lighter than the tiles on the wall. Why? And what could be done to get it to match? A color enhancer?
I found stepping up to 1500 grit helped some but not very much. Your comments are appreciated.
