Hello,
I have a couple of metal driving plates on which the velcro that holds the
diamond discs in place 
have become worn.  In the past have replaced the old velcro by gluing velcro
strips over the worn 
velcro.  The old velcro is amazingly difficult to get off.  I have tried
different glues but the results 
are mediocre at best.  As an example, This week I tried spreading titebond
polyurethane liquid 
glue on the face of the plate, putting down the velcro over the glue and
letting it dry.  In this case 
the titebond foamed up,made a mess around the edges and created bubbles under
the velcro.  I 
have tried other glues in the past that do not work that well.  Just pressing
the velcro in place 
without waves is hard enough.  In any event, am having a tough time getting a
smooth strong 
waterproof result.  Does anybody have any solutions or ideas?
