I had the exact same scenario. You can actually see the application "swipes" of the sponge used to seal the floor right? Your gonna have to go low on the honing powder grit for this one! Start at 250grit powder and if that doesn't remove it go lower. You also might want to try a low grit antiquing brush. Gran Quartz and Hard Rock Tool sell these brushes that go on a right angle.

On that limestone subject,I believe it was Tile Lab sealer from home depot.It was the one used for slate,terracotta etc.
