Fred,

I honed it from 100 to 3000 and then polished for about 5 mins with dark powder and crystallization fluid (no water) on a number 0 steel wool pad. It did shine up nicely but it is a lighter color.
I am sure the people that installed it must have put something on it to make it look darker. Is there any way that I might be able to match it without knowing what they used?

Thanks
Dustin

How did you polish it..I would use a dark granite polishing powder and use a crystallization fluid instead of water. Go wet to dry..should pop a nice shine.

I am in need of some ideas from the group. I had a small repair job on a granite counter top from what looked to be an etching ring. After the repair the color of the newly polished area is noticeably lighter in color. I tried to color match it by using Stone Tech Enhancer Pro and it got closer but still dose not match.

Dose anyone have any ideas for me other than just redo the entire counter top. My fear is if I try to redo the entire counter top I will have a dark line at the edge of the splash boards.

Any help is welcome
