Kris,
Grinding wax off with metals may seem only to be faster but like Stu said the edges and corners need to be stripped anyway, So what's the point of grinding with metals? In addition, most terrazzo floors are finished with about 50 grid and if you lucky you may start with 100 resins and safe yourself a ton of time.

Kris,
You cannot use resin diamonds to remove the wax-you could use metal diamonds depending on the amount of wax and the condition of the terrazzo.
Even if you use metals you will still have to strip the edges which are always loaded with wax.
Determine the condition of the terrazzo because if you can start with resins it may be a better option to use a good stripper and stripping pads.
We like to start with 50 grit resins on cementitious terrazzo if we dont use metals. It seems to smooth the matrix so we can get a better result.
Once you are at this point you can finish using any method you are comfortable with based of course on the job specifications and price.
