I've just attended a week of training at John Freitag's Stone and Tile School in Florida.

Earlier this year I took John's Tile and Grout class.  This time, I returned to learn stone floor, countertop and wall restoration.

I knew little about stone restoration before the class.  On completion, I have the knowledge and confidence to tackle many aspects of stone restoration.  The classroom's relaxed atmosphere allowed for plenty of discussion to reinforce John's presentations.  Time spent in the school's large "stone play area" let us get our hands on real equipment and a variety of stone surfaces.  We practiced our theory of honing and polishing floors, counters and walls.  John and Butch were able to watch and coach us on method and technique (or sometimes lack of either).  The clarity of understanding this gave me was amazing.  Now my first client won't be a guinea pig.

I return home believing I can successfully build my business, based upon the solid knowledge and systems John shared this week.  Plus, I can pester him for future advice too ;)

Thank you to John and his staff for a week to remember.

Happy Christmas everyone.

My regards
Goy Ullyart
