I recently looked at a sink with two faucets with staining issues. Please see attached pictures. It is my guess that the staining is from caulk or silicone. This is a fairly new installation. It is my understanding methylene chloride should be used in the poultice. I have never worked MC, but I’ve heard it is nasty stuff. Is there any alternative that would work such as hydrogen peroxide? Thanks in advance for your help! If MC is the only option, will it damage the faucets?
