Yes, I used the crystallizer when I polished, and went back and hit it again. It looked good by my standards, but I need more reflection.

Did you use a crystallizer when you polished? If not go back and crystallize the floor using SCC crystallizer it will add additional shine to the floors. Also when polishing granite you can use a crystallizer and dark granite polishing powders from SCC and this also will pop a nice shine. I think in this case go back crystallizer the floor very lightly and the shine should pop. If this is a high traffic facility I would recommend placing it on a maintenance contract. This way you have reoccurring income and you can keep the floor looking great

I did not do any honing as this is a newer floor and I did not think it needed. Only a polish with SCC’s tin oxide plus spray, and also I used SA’s Diaglo S. I polished two to three times and got great results. Client wants a shine that I think is better than factory.

As far as the products, SCC’s and MB-8 labels say “no stripping necessary”. I am not sure how that is possible, but I have not tried it to verify.

First question I would ask what have you done to the floors? Did you do any honing or just polish the floors? What polishing process and what products have you used on these floors? There are several ways to polish granite some are better than others .

Please update as to the process you did then I can better answer what you can do to improve the finish.

From a brief description of these product they both appear to leave a residue on the stone so I would say at some point they would need to be removed, I will order in some of these product and test them to see how the effect the stone.

Hi fellas,

Just curious what some of you would say about using MB-8 or SCC's polymeric
Heavy duty stone seal, given these conditions:

I just finished polishing 3,000 ft of residential black galaxy granite, 3
years of wear. It came very nice and darkened up. However , after polishing
it twice the client is not quite satisfied and wants a ridiculous mirror
shine. He has a high speed buffer and the workforce to maintain it. Is
putting this product on a good idea? And does years later mean stripping?
