Hi folks,<br><br>I am  honing/ polishing a test slab of outdoor marble 
to determine the best way to proceed with a project.  The attached 
photos will show the slab piece from beginning to the end.  I am 
actually working on the backside of the slab because the front is 
soooooo damaged from erosion that it would be impossible to restore.  I 
began by cleaning the accumulated grime off and followed with 50 and 100
 metal diamond pads followed with 120, 220, 400 resin diamonds. i did 
half of the slab with 800 resin diamond and 1800 honing powder and the 
half with polishing compound to show the client the difference as per 
his request.<br>
Here&#39;s my question.  when looking at the finished stone, the last 2 
photos, I can see little white dots especially in the veins, but also in
 the stone itself which I believe to be the natural pores that I did not
 hone out with my 50 metal.  Should I begin with a 30 metal or spend 
more time with the 50 metal?  I spent 4 minutes/1 sq foot with the 50 
metal.  I know that I need to remove more material.  Are there any 
special metals good at quickly removing more material?<br>
