Cuz I been doing a lot of sandstone here, and using a sodium or potassium siliconate for the base coat, then following with a good solvent sealer. This is like the Glaze n Seal, in the yellow/black bottle, really inexpensive. Just CANNOT let any dry on the surface or it will turn white. Spray it then after 5-10 mins go over it with a damp mop to get the excess off.

Subject: [sccpartners] Wet sandstone
Greetings all,
Just cleaned a sandstone patio. Areas exposed to our daily trade showers are soaked and would probably take days to dry. My question is should I seal anyway with a water based sealer or wait to see if we get a dry spell which there's no tellin how soon that might be.
Thanks
Stephen
