Hi Mike,

I haven't talk to you for a while but thanks for the compliment.

You can use the processs on textured stone with the stipulation that you will have to test first for acceptance and amount of coats, etc.

The liquid wax which is the last step is not a coating. It dries and then you buff it with buffing brush to ehhance the shine and the beauty.

All in all the process for stoen other than terra cotta requires an application of premium impregnator ( Fila Fob ), followed by Neutra Wax ( paste wax in few colors ) and then the liquid wax followed by buffing.

I will not recommend it to a smooth limestone since it may scuff ( but of course each case is by itself ).

In a nutshell the stone get much better protection because the paste wax improve the impregnation, warmer look, looks natural and beautiful.

Mike, please feel free to call me to my cell (818) 535-6035 if you need any further assistance. I was in Fila factory in 1995 and I have some knowledge on the subject.

Stay well,

Don

Yes, I am using the products for the last 17 years always with success. The key is that it keeps the stone looks almost natural eventhough you apply paste wax and liquid wax.

My best advice is: Go to Fila website and click on surfaces and then on Terra Cotta and just read and understand the process.

The products are not cheap ( made in Italy ) but they are excellent.

You can call me with any question.

Tony,

Funny, I just came back from the estimate for Santa Ruffina Terracotta that need to be cleaned and rewaxed. Customer also requested liquid wax from Fila.

Does anybody used this process and their products and can share the experience?

They have excellent products specially for Terra Cotta. It's a three steps process but it works very well.

Can anyone give me information on waxing Terracotta tiles to enhance the color.  I am bidding on a job where the client may want a wax finish that you can keep re-waxing over time.  This is suppose to be a process that enhances the color and gives the floor a Fatima look.  Any information would be helpful.
