you have to be careful with the type of diamonds you use on zodiac. You can not only cause swirls but you can burn the material. You can try honing powders but one trick is to slow your hand machine down. Try to keep it around 500 rpm and you stand less of a chance of burning the material.

I got the job of re-honing shower floor made out of Zodiac that somebody already honed and created swirl marks. 200 grit diamonds for granite nicely take care of swirl marks but there are a lot of areas that require manual work with Makita.
 
Will marble honing powders work on Zodiac or should I use honing powders for granite?
 
I tested diamonds on sample piece of Zodiac before I saw the job and haven't thought about honing with powders. The shower pan turned to be 12ft x 5 ft with some glass partitions and shelf.
