Carpet installation supply stores have mastic removers. I was a flooring contractor for over 18 years and had to remove a lot of old glue.

Some of the new formulas can make it quite easy.

You can also try Mastic Remover that you can find in Home Depot. I don't know how that will react with stone but you can test first.

I have had great success with straight grease lightning and nylo grit pads. Make sure to give plenty of dwell time.

Baird,

I recently had good luck removing carpet glue by just using hot water, a good brush on the floor machine and it came off with no chemicals actually the areas where we tried chemicals the glue would not react to the chemaiclas

Here is a project I have been asked to bid. It is a marble hallway that had carpet over it. I'm wondering what it will take to get this stuff off without etching the floor any more than it is?  Would nano-scrub work?

Thanks,

Baird
