Steve.  I did it that way a long time ago, it came out great. not sure if I remember how I did it. Think you would use a pump sprayer and be quick, keep it all evenly wet so you don’t get vertical streaks, and not a super strong mix because you want the time to evenly wet. Keep the floor wet with water, keep flushing so that dosen’t get over etched.

If the tiles have lippage, It could br difficult to get the polish off in the low areas. Consider and test using a mild acidic solution to dull these areas or the whole thing first with the acid then just powder hone. Ive done floors with lippage this way and it's made the process easier and a more consistant finish

What's the fastest/best way to remove a polish from a white thassos shower so that I can leave a honed/matte finish ?

I know that if it were a floor, I would try to do it with a 400 grit velocity pad and then use honing powder, but in a shower I am not sure. The reason that I am trying to strategize on this is because I have to do 3 showers in this house and if I can do a great job without killing myself it would be nice.
