Removing chewing gum or glue from stone or tile surface.
You can remove chewing gum from a stone or tile surface -- even flamed granite -- by freezing it. Place ice cubes, or, if available, dry ice on top of the gum. The gum will freeze hard, and can then be easily popped off the surface.
You can also buy a product at your local janitorial supply called "gum freeze". Gum freeze is a concentrated solution of carbon dioxide that will freeze the gum.
After you remove the gum there may be a small residue. Remove this residue by wiping with mineral spirits (paint thinner).
