I do not believe it is efflorescence as it is only on the shower and evidence of streaking. Not crusty at all. They tested the water for harmful minerals, this is very rural and they added a water softener.

As far as the white lines, it may be efflorencense. in order to solve the problem you need to find the source of the moisture. When they say that they tested the water...what did they test it for.

Another issue is white lines from water on a travertine shower in the mountains of Colorado. Did it 5 years ago and they want me back. Spoke with client about water softener, etc. but she indicated her water had been tested and nothing problematic found. It is quite visible. I know this has been addressed before but I cannot find anything on it.
