This appears to be a travertine as Fred stated, however the strips that appear in the tile look as if at one time those strips we at a different finish then the other areas in the stone. if you are going to restore this stone those strips will probably disappear. Make sure prior to doing this job the customer is ok with what may change the look of the floor.  I would recommend doing a sample to show the customer what the stone will look like once you restore it .

 

For as much as the process your normal marble process will work on this stone.
