I need to take a new polished shower to a honed finish. Reason being it looks like the installer among other thanks sanded down lippage and left the edges honed. Do I need to hit the stone 1^st with diamonds then possible use honing powders? Or can I go straight with honing powders. I thought about acid washing the stone but have concerns. That is possible damaging the finish on the tub or shower doors.
