Mike-We dont see to much basalt here- I would be curious to see what MB-20 could produce as far as a polish. If your going to only finish this stone at one level it would be my thought to finish polished and sell them a maintenance service. Maybe you could flatten the floor and add a portion of the charge into the maintenance contract. Or flatten the floor taking it to 220 resins and finish with 280 honing powder and color enhance the whole floor.

What do you guys think about 400 diamond pad, followed by a set of 3 diamond Frankfurt brushes, 220 grt. on a weighted 17” rotary machine to remove framing (still might not get the low corners of the polished pieces)  then followed by an 400 grit Frankfurt diamond brush.

Hi Guys. Have this job to bid where there is a lot of polished basalt next to honed. It has a LOT of wear and in some areas you can barely tell the two finishes apart.  They want it all restored. Other than the obvious considerations, any ideas? I will not be taping tiles off, there is about 3500 sf.
