There are several products on the market. StoneCare Central has a Product that can be added to the mop water that will act as an anti slip. There is a product from Grout perfect that slightly acid etches the surface.

Keep in mind the anti slip product either acid etches the surface or applies a topical type finish to the surface.

If using an acid based anti- slip product the surface MUST be keep clean. If the surface is not keep clean then the surface will become very slippery as the dirt and other materials build up in the open pores within the surface it make it slippery.

If you do any anti- slip make sure disclose to your customer in writing that unless they have a set up regular deep cleaning the floors will become slippery and you as the contractor will not be held responsible for any slip and falls that may occur.

If they maintain the surface in house the customer need to keep a written log of the cleaning process. Caution is best when working with anti – slip products. If you apply the anti- slip products and do not have a written disclaimer if someone fall the first place the lawyers are going to look is to you. Be safe and protect youself.
