First of all I would like to welcome you to the group.  As far as removing the silicone the MC approach is the correct approach however you will have to remove the excess silicone from the back or continue to poultice until its all pulled through.

Hello to the group. This would be my first question, but I wanted to also take the opportunity to say hi and am looking forward to a prosperous future with you to both assist and ease the issues we face in this very complicated but fascinating industry

A rare granite was installed and sealed using an impregnator 3 years ago. About 3 days to a week later  the silicone made its way to the surface and discolored the granite top. I have used a poultice mixed with Methelyne Chloride last year but with no result. I have removed a granite top and was able to remove the stain once I removed the silicone in back. The other tops are difficult to remove without breaking. Is there a new solution?
