I would recommend first stripping the counters with an alkaline based stripper , then seeing this is a honed finish I would recommend going over the stone with a honing powder and then re-seal using a solvent based sealer. apply by hand thin applications

Gentlemen,

 

I just went to look at a granite countertop which was left with streaks in it after it had been sealed. They want us to take out the streaks and give it an even finish.  The countertop is "absolute black"  and it has a honed finish.  What do I do?
