I want to mention first, you should have stain removal guide on hand from Dr Hueston, it has been my bible over the last century.

There are a few possibilities, you will have to make sure which is the right type of stain, we all know that customers call and say they have a stain when in reality they have etches

I am basing my assessment that the Black plunger is rubber and may have also have been subjected to acids, (urine or some product to unclog the toilet)

Option 1

Try to use a strong degreaser to remove a black type mark,

If that doesn’t work a solvent like toluene –

Option 2

Get a cigarette lighter and check the reflection in that hard to reach corner we all put our plunger on.  If the floor is etched, than some powder polish work as well. - This you will have to do

Option 3

It is travertine; if a “stain” persists it could also be that the filler portion has marked.  In that case a simple color matched grout; with the credit card technique application would do wonders.

I have a customer that has a stain in her travertine from a black plunger, any clues to remove it? is there a home made poltuce that she can apply?  Thanks in advance for your help.
