I have just decided to place travertine in a house we are remodeling.  We will place it in the kitchen, breakfast, hall, laundry room and two bathrooms for now.  I originally did not want to use it because I thought it would be hard to clean.  I am getting real confused about everything... which tile to pick, honed, filled, polished, sealer, impregnator, color enhancer and mostly who is qualified to install it.  I have had one person try to sell me a travertine called English Walnut that is laid in a pattern.  It has round rings like a tree.  When I asked where it comes from he told me Mexico.  Please help, I need to pick something out in the next few weeks.  Thanks!  Pam </snip>
