I would use 12" buffer instead hand polisher. We found that on our 12" machine which is about 45 lbs, diamonds for hand polisher work a lot better than those we use with 17" machine (3x from SCC) of course with only min lippage.

Tape the ceramic tile off and be very careful. Sounds like it will all have to be done with a hand machine.  depending on how deep the scratches are you should be able to hit it with a 120-400 polish.

Hi

Hope that everyone is safe after hurricane Irene hammered the eastern U.S.A

I looked at a job that has about 200 brown marble tiles 12 by 12s as an outer border on 2 lobby

Floors and border against the walls that have a brown marble as a cove molding. The rest of the floor is

Ceramic tiles and there are about 40 brown marble inserts 4 by 4s spaced evenly throughout the ceramic tile

There is a fair amount of scratching on the 6 year old marble and might need to go down to 120 to start.

Any suggestions on doing this job

Pricing this job?

How do I not ruin the ceramic tiles?

I am thinking 2 days for me and a helper mostly on our knees.

Thanks
