I use proline pigments to tint my sealer and finish. They sell a few colors at home depot but I would start with adding pigment to the sealer till u get the color u want.

Subject: [sccpartners] saltillo floor red paste wax

Hello partners,

i am currently trying to help a customer who has a 30 year old saltillo floor, for many years she has been applying a paste wax to the floor that is red in color it use to be a common thing i guess, the best way i can describe the paste wax is like a dark red shoe polish hand applied and buffed into the floor, it gives the floor a really even look and changes the color of the grout, the problem is they do not make this product anymore and we are looking for an alternative. when we tested to clean and reseal the floor the tiles are not quite the color she would like to orange she wants it to be darker and she does not like the original color of the grout which is gray and not red. if we strip the wax off we dont think we will be able to get all the red wax out of the grout and it will leave the floor looking worse than when we started. has anyone dealt with this problem before and does anyone know of a similar red wax product i can put back on the floor, our opinion in testing on this floor is that we need to find a similar product to put on the floor.

thanks in advance for the help and input.
